Tips Mencari Kost

Ada beberapa jenis cara ngekost :

    Dianjurkan menyewa rumah bersama teman,
    Pada cara ini, kita joinan bersama teman-teman untuk kemudian menyewa sebuah rumah yang disewa per tahun (jarang ada rumah yang disewakan per bulan). Umumnya dengan cara sewa rumah bersama teman ini kita merasa nyaman karena sudah akrab / kenal dengan penghuni rumah. Akan tetapi agak sedikit repot karena harus ada jadwal piket bergilir, membayar listrik+air, dll. Belum lagi harus membawa perabotan / furniture sendiri.
    
Rumah kost

    Rumah kost ini ada yang jadi satu dengan rumah pemiliknya maupun terpisah bangunannya. Dan ada kost yang kosong maupun kost yang sudah ada barang-barang / furniture nya. Biasanya kost disewakan per bulan. Kita tidak usah memikirkan uang patungan listrik+air, karena pada umumnya dikoordinir oleh pengelola kost.

Tips-tips lainnya ;

    Usahakan cari tempat kost yang dekat dengan tempat ibadah dan tidak begitu jauh dengan kampus.
    Cari tempat kost yang aksesnya mudah (baik dengan kendaraan pribadi / umum / jalan kaki). Perhatikan juga jenis angkutan apa saja yang melewati kost baik siang maupun malam hari.
    Jika bisa jangan kost di pinggir jalan pass, soalnya pasti akan gaduh dengan suara kendaraan, kecuali kalo tahan sih gak apa-apa. Dan jangan juga mencari kost yang letaknya jauh dipedalaman. Soalnya bakal repot sewaktu pindahan.
    Cari tau keberadaan tempat-tempat penting di sekitar kost,misal :
        Tempat fotokopian
        Warung / Minimarket / Pasar
        Wartel
        Warnet
        Rental Komputer / Printing
        Tempat cuci cetak foto
        Puskesmas / Dokter
        Terminal / Stasiun
        Tempat beribadah
    Tanyakan juga kepada penghuni-penghuni kost yang ada disitu.... sudah berapa lama mereka kost disitu?. Kalo misalnya ada yang udah kost sampe 2 tahun atau lebih, tandanya mereka betah dan kost-an tersebut kondisinya baik-baik saja.
    Jangan lupa lihat dulu anak-anak kost yang ada disitu. Siapa tau aja ada temen kuliah kamu atau bahkan musuh bebuyutan kamu yang sudah tiga tahun tidak ketemu. :D
    Tanyakan sumber air bersihnya, apakah dari sumur ataukah dari PAM? Bagaimana kondisi air pada musim kemarau? Jangan sampai tidak mandi gara-gara di kost kehabisan air.
    Cari tahu keberadaan kamar mandi / WC
    Jangan lupa bertanya berapa daya listrik yang ada di kost tersebut. Apakah uang kost sudah termasuk biaya listrik atau belum?. Kalo misalnya uang kostnya sudah termasuk dengan uang listrik, adalah halal hukumnya jika kita bawa kulkas 2 pintu dan AC pribadi... hehehehe. :D
    Jangan lupa liat keadaan sekitar tempat kost. Bersih? Kumuh? Jorok? Jorok Sekali?. Jangan sampai sewaktu kita sudah ngekost ternyata kita baru menyadari kalau daerah sekitar kost-an kita itu ternyata banyak premannya... :D
